A Clinical Case Study of Nonstructural Scoliosis with Empyema

Abstract

|
Objectives: Spinal deformity caused by variable factor and mild deformity doesn’t influence to cardio-pulmonary function but more deformity progress more problems can occur in cardio-pulmonary function. So we have to concern the problem of cardio-pulmonary function in case of severe spinal deformity.
Methods: We used a flexion-distraction Cox technique, Acupuncture, Physical and Herb medicine treatment to the patient who was diagnosed scoliosis with empyema.
Results & Conclusions: The results of oriental medicine treatment, Cobb’s angle of T-spine was changed 20° to 15°, that of L-spine was changed 27° to 15° and also all the symptoms of empyema were improved.
