A Clinical Case Study of Nonstructural Scoliosis with Empyema

Abstract
Objectives: Spinal deformity caused by variable factor and mild deformity doesn¡¯t influence to cardio-pulmonary function but more deformity progress more problems can occur in cardio-pulmonary function. So we have to concern the problem of cardio-pulmonary function in case of severe spinal deformity.

Methods: We used a flexion-distraction Cox technique, Acupuncture, Physical and Herb medicine treatment to the patient who was diagnosed scoliosis with empyema.

Results & Conclusions: The results of oriental medicine treatment, Cobb¡¯s angle of T-spine was changed 20¡Æ to 15¡Æ, that of L-spine was changed 27¡Æ to 15¡Æ and also all the symptoms of empyema were improved.
